Sophie's Sunshine Preschool Mission
Miss Sophie’s mission is to provide a strong foundation for a bright future. Miss Sophie does this by introducing letters, sounds, numbers, counting, fine motor skills, and much more! Miss Sophie believes in using The Good and the Beautiful curriculum which helps your little learner connect learning to high character, beautiful artwork, and interaction right from the start of your child’s educational foundation. Come, be a part of this mission and join a fun learning experience where every child's potential is recognized and encouraged. Let's create memorable moments together as we prepare your little ones for their next big adventure: kindergarten!
“The students in the classroom adore Sophie. She has built a caring relationship with each of the kids and shares little fun tidbits of her life and personality with the kids which makes them love her. They relate to her and respond well to her teaching. She has become well-practiced in different classroom management techniques and spotting the little ways she can differentiate for the needs in the classroom. Sophie worked hard with struggling students to help support their needs and she has prepped, planned, and assessed lessons for whole groups, small groups, and individuals to further their learning. Another great quality Sophie possesses is she comes each day with a positive attitude, and she is eager to start the day. She genuinely compliments others and jumps into teaching without hesitation. She has a kind and loving heart and is a joy to work with. It is with confidence that I would highly recommend Sophie Asay. She is a fantastic educator.”

“It has been my pleasure to be a university supervisor for Miss Sophie during her student teaching at Manila Elementary School. Sophie is a ‘bright light’ in the classroom. She designs lessons that are engaging with a gradual release of responsibility leading students to the learning targets. She implements these using a variety of instructional strategies that meet the needs of all learners. She is happy in the classroom, and I think students can tell- even these tiny students. She has the ability to manage the class well, maintaining safety and respect, while still making the learning fun. I'm more than happy to visit and highly recommend this very capable educator.”
